An IRES-Cre-FRT-Neo-FRT targeting cassette was inserted into the Nova2 locus upstream of the initiator ATG in the first known coding exon of the gene. The neomycin cassette was excised by Flp-mediated recombination. No information on the expression of Cre was presented. No endogenous protein was expressed. (J:234107)
