A fragment of human HCRT promoter, including the 3.15kb 5' flanking region and all of the 5' noncoding region of exon 1, was fused to a modified lacZ gene, which has an SV40 T antigen nuclear localization signal (nlacZ). Six lines were created, with lines A3 and J2 expressing lacZ specifically in the LHA/subthalamic region. (J:55659)
