The construct consisting of a mouse genomic fragment of Slc5a2 including the promoter region, exon 1, intron 1, and the first part of exon 2 from the RP24-178K1 BAC clone followed by cre recombinase, rabbit b-globin and a polyadenylation sequence was used to generate mice. The linearized construct was injected into the pronuclei of fertilized C57BL/6J embryos. Founder information and line numbers were not available.
