A targeting vector was designed to insert the cre/GFP fusion gene with a neo cassette in exon 2 of the mouse Kiss1 gene such that ATG of the cre/GFP fusion gene was kept in frame located 11 codons downstream of the Kiss1 ATG. The absence of protein was confirmed in mutant mice. (J:254977)
