Two loxP sites flanking exons 1 and 2 and a neomycin resistance cassette in reverse orientation flanked by FRT sites within intron 2 were inserted via homologous recombination. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette leaving exons 1 and 2 floxed. (J:243694)
