A loxP site was inserted into intron 2 and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and a second loxP site into intron 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. Exon 3 was removed through cre-mediated recombination. Western blot analysis demonstrates the absence of protein. (J:241006)
