An FRT site flanked pgk-Neo cassette and a loxP sequence were inserted 249 bp upstream of exon 3, and a second loxP sequence 269 bp downstream of exon 3. Exon 3 was subsequently deleted via Cre-mediated recombination. Western blot analysis showed that no detectable encoded protein was expressed from this allele. (J:253649)
