An FRT site, a LacZ reporter gene cassette, a loxP site, a neomycin resistance gene cassette, and a loxP site were inserted into intron 1. An additional loxP site was inserted into intron 2. The lacZ and neo cassettes were removed through flp-mediated recombination, leaving exon 2 floxed. (J:243973)
