A sequences coding for mCherry and improved cre recombinase gene (icre) separated by a viral T2A-sequence to allow bicistronic expression replaced the coding sequence between the start codon in exon 1 and the stop codon in exon 2 in the murine based bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC bQ73b10). Initially 4 founders (SST-Cre33, -38, -43 and -44) were generated, of which SST-Cre-43 failed to pass on the transgene. Subsequencty, two strains (SST-Cre33 and -38) lost this positive reporter expression. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:239793)
