The targeting vector is designed to insert a loxP site followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette, upstream of exon 6, and a second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6 of the gene. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 6 floxed. (J:341591)
