The heart restricted murine alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter drives the expression of human cardiac actin with a glycine substitution for glutamic acid at amino acid 361 (E361G). This is a dominant negative mutation. Two lines were established: 361.20 and 361.13. Mice express this mutation at around 50% of total actin in the heart. (J:242344)
