A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP sequence and a neo cassette into the region between exons 4 and 5, and a loxP sequence between exons 6 and 7 of the gene. Subsequent cre-mediated recombination to remove the neo cassette resulted in exons 5 and 6 flanked by loxP sites. (J:236234)
