An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 9. An F3-flanked puromycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 15. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left exons 9 through 15 floxed. (J:238897)
