The L1L2_gt1 cassette was inserted at position 139391526 of Chromosome 1 upstream of exon 7 (Build GRCm39). The cassette is composed of an FRT flanked lacZ/neomycin sequence followed by a loxP site. An additional loxP site is inserted downstream of exon 7 at position 139392331. A "conditional ready" (floxed) allele is created by flp recombinase expression in mice, removing the lacZ sequences and neomycin selection cassette and leaving exon 7 flanked by loxP sites.
