LoxP sites were inserted into introns 1 and 3. An FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted between exon 3 and the loxP site. Through subsequent cre-mediated recombination, exons 2 and 3 as well as the neo cassette were deleted, creating a null allele. (J:239950)
