An FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted into intron 2. Exon 2 was targeted with a codon change: an S45A (TCT to GCC) mutation. This mutation creates a diagnostic MscI restriction site and changes serine 45 to an alanine, thus preventing phosphorylation of the peptide at that position. (J:238996)
