A loxP-flanked PGK-neomycin selection cassette replaced exons 1-4 of the gene. Immunoblotting analysis showed that protein expression was absent in multiple tissues of homozygous mutant neonate mice, while the protein was highly expressed in the brain, spleen and intestine in control neonate mice.
