One loxP site was inserted in the 5'UTR and a second loxP site followed by a FRT-flanked kanamycin resistance cassette was inserted in the 3'UTR. The single coding exon is thus flanked by loxP sites. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked kanamycin cassette. (J:193452)
