A loxP site was inserted into intron 5; an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette and the inverted cDNA for the human gene followed by an inverted splice acceptor site and an inverted loxP site were inserted into intron 6. Cre-mediated recombination inverted the sequence between the loxP sites and removed the selection cassette. RT-PCR confirmed expression of the transgene from this allele. (J:238133)
