The transgene contains 485 bp of the Olfr151 promoter (M71 minigene)and 5 repeats of the 21 bp (5x21) enhancer sequence from the olfactory receptor H-region upstream of the transcriptional start site followed by an IRES-tau-mCherry tagged Olfr151 gene. This is founder line 5MGalpha. Sixteen copies of the transgene integrated into this line. Transgene expression is detected in 3-6% of the olfactory sensory neurons. (J:238259)
