LacZ and neomycin resistance genes were inserted in-frame at codon 99 of the gene. Northern blot analysis of genomic DNA using external and neomycin probes revealed that the gene is correctly targeted and immunoblot analysis confirmed loss of expression of the endogenous protein. (J:157023)
