Exon 2 was replaced with a modified one in which nucleotide substitutions (GAG to TAA) results in the amino acid susbtitution of a stop codon for glutamic acid. This mutation affects isoform 1 but not isoform 2. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. (J:226820)
