The targeting construct inserted upstream of exon 3 an FRT site, lacZ gene, neomycin resistance cassette, FRT site and loxP site. An additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 4. Flp-mediated recombination removed the reporter and selection cassette. Cre-mediated recombination removed exons 3 and 4. (J:234929)
