This transgene contains the promoter of the glial fibrillary acidic protein (Gfap) gene directing expression of a full-length human phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) cDNA that has been modified to substitute an alanine codon for that encoding each of the five amino acids in the C-terminal tail that are phosphorylated by casein kinase 2 (CK2): serine 370, serine 380, threonine 382, threonine 383, and serine 385 (S370A/S380A/T382A/T383A/S385A; PTEN QMA).
