A loxP site was inserted upstream of the cluster of microRNAs. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of teh cluster. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left the cluster floxed. As confirmed by QRT-PCR, cre-mediated removal of the the microRNA cluster does not alter transcript expression of the host gene Larp6. (J:233994)
