The targeting vector contains a loxP site followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette upstream of the J alpha 18 (J alpha 281) gene segment, a second loxP site was placed downstream. Cre-mediated recombination removed the J alpha 18 segment and neo cassette. (J:232957)
