A targeting vector was designed to insert a single loxP site upstream of exon 4, and a FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette, in opposite orientation to the gene, followed by a second loxP site, downstream of exon 4. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 4 floxed. (J:233742)
