Exon 2 was replaced with a neo cassette. Deletion of this exon is predicted to result in a frame shift. Northern blot analysis confirmed expression of a smaller than normal transcript in the kidney. Enzymatic assays failed to detect MGAT activity in the kidney. (J:231617)
