Seven direct repeats of the tetracycline (tet)-operator sequence drive the inducible expression of the human EGFR with the L858R, an erlotinib-sensitizing mutation, and the T790M resistance mutation. Mice with this transgene that express the tetracycline transactivator (tTA) or reverse transactivator (rtTA) under control of a tissue-specific promoter can be induced to express the mutant gene in tissues or cell types of interest by administration/withdrawal of doxycycline. Four founders were generated: 17, 19, 24, and 29 and line 19 is entered as a representative line. (J:122849)
