An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 18. A loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 20. Cre-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and exons 18 through 20, which encode the active pore domain. (J:223749)
