A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. A floxed neomycin resistance cassette was inserted downstream of exon 1. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 1 and a selection cassette. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of protein expression in E10.5 hearts. (J:230261)
