The transgene contains the human promoter, a floxed neomycin resistance gene/STOP cassette and a short hairpin RNA that targets all 8 Rhox3 paralogs (Rhox3a, Rhox3a2, Rhox3b-ps, Rhox3c, Rhox3d-ps, Rhox3e, Rhox3f, Rhox3g and Rhox3h). Lines 2, 11, 12, and 13 were generated with line 2 selected as the representative line. In addition to the reduced expression of targeted genes, mice exhibit reduced levels of all endogenous siRNAs tested. (J:229199)
