A loxP site was inserted upstream of the AU-rich elements (ARE) in exon 2. An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette, containing a flp recombinase gene, with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of the ARE in exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. (J:226968)
