An FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted upsteam of exon 7. An additional loxP site was inserted into the untranslated region of exon 7. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette and left the untranslated region in exon 7 floxed. (J:229380)
