An 800 bp region containing the 3' end of exon 4 plus part of the 5' end of intron 4 was replaced with a pgk-neo cassette via homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the absence of intact mRNA in kidneys from homozygous mutant mice. (J:220441)
