A gene trap (containing an FRT site, loxP site, pGK/EM7 dual promoter, strong splice acceptor from En2, neomycin resistance cassette, polyadenylation sequence, FRT site and loxP) was inserted upstream of exon 3. An additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. Western blot analysis confirmed reduced protein expression in the spleen, lung and bone marrow-derived macrophages. (J:222611)
