Tg(H2-Ab1)GBQRhd

A 11-kb genomic DNA fragment containing the entire H2-Abp gene, including 2.4 kb of 5'- and 3.5 kb of 3'-flanking sequence, was modified by replacement of the second exon with that of the H2-Abq allele, which differs from Abp at codons 85, 86, 88, and 89. An additional 1.1 kb of 5' flanking sequence from the H2-Ab1b gene was inserted upstream of the H2-Abp/Abq fusion gene to ensure the inclusion of all regulatory elements necessary for normal MHC class II expression.
