Cntnap2^tm2Pele

A targeting vector was designed to replace exon 1 (encoding the ATG and signal sequence) of the contactin associated protein-like 2 (Cntnap2) gene with a tau-LacZ gene and a neomycin resistance (neo) cassette in reverse orientation to the gene. Western blot and immunoblot analysis of brain and sciatic nerves, respectively, confirmed that no protein was expressed in mutant mice. (J:229005)
