The L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at a position on Chromosome 8, resulting in a 1594bp deletion starting at position 72319391 and ending at position 72320985, including exons 2 and 3 of the Klf2 gene. The targeting vector is composed of an FRT site followed by En2SA (mouse engrailed 2 gene splice acceptor), IRES-lacZ sequence, a loxP site, a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neomycin cassette. (J:228270)
