The targeting construct encompassing exons 34 to 41 introduced a GT to CC mutation that ablates the 5' donor site required for splicing of the omega isoform. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette within intron 37. The delta isoform is not affected. (J:224331)
