The region of exon 7 which codes for three conserved motifs of the intracellular domain (amino acids 441-529) was replaced by an in-frame GFP reporter sequence. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 7. (J:218981)
