A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. A neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 3 and the selection cassette. RT-PCR confirmed the absence of transcript expression in the brain. (J:218915)
