A floxed neo cassette was inserted upstream of exon 1 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1 via homologous recombination. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exon 1. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in activated CD4+ T cells. (J:218203)
