A genomic region including all of exon 1 and most of exon 2 (including the translational start site) was replaced with a neo cassette via homologous recombination. RT-PCR analysis confirmed lack of RNA expression in thyroid, spleen, ovary, liver and kidney tissue from homozygous mutant mice. (J:217742)
