The targeting vector contains a loxP site and an FRT-flanked neo cassette inserted downstream of exon 3 of the targeted gene, and another loxP site inserted upstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exon 3 floxed. (J:219838)
