The Syrian hamster prion protein promoter drives the expression of the longest form of the human four-repeat tau with the R406W mutation. Lines 21807, 21783, and 21768 were established. RT-PCR confirmed expression of mRNA in the brain and Western blot analysis shows that expression level is about 80% that of the endogenous mouse levels. (J:95971)
