A 33.5-kb DNA segment containing the mouse checkpoint kinase 1 (Chek1) gene and 5' and 3' flanking sequences extending to the next conserved gene in either direction was subcloned into a minimal vector, which was then linearized for microinjection into fertilized oocytes. Southern blot analysis revealed that one line had integrated a single copy of the transgene. (J:182697)
