The RP23-304O21 bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) containing exons 1-2 of the platelet derived growth factor receptor, beta polypeptide (Pdgfrb) gene and 10 kb of upstream regulatory sequence was obtained. This BAC was modified by replacing the Pdgfrb start codon in exon 2 with an rtTA (reverse tetracycline-regulated transactivator) sequence and a polyadenylation sequence. No other genes are encoded by this BAC. (J:226969)
