LoxP sites were inserted into the PvuII site in intron 1 and into the KpnI site in intron 7. In addition, a neomycin resistance (Neo) cassette, flanked by two FRT sites, was inserted into the PvuII site in intron 1. Resulting animals were then bred with FLPe-expressing mice resulting in the deletion of the Neo cassette. (J:217695)
