A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette upstream of exon 9, and a second loxP site downstream of exon 10. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette leaving exons 9 through 10 floxed. (J:174934)
